It was a Friday afternoon. A woman walked past a newsstand in the lobby of the office building where she works, and on a whim purchased one lottery ticket using birthdates of her family. You know the rest—she ended up a co-winner of the $636 million dollar mega million lottery!

Ira Curry, a fifty six year old woman living in Stone Mountain, Georgia, heard that the mega ball number was 7 and had her daughter check online for the rest of the winning numbers. Her daughter called her back and told her she had the winning numbers. Ira couldn’t believe it.

She will be taking the cash option, and her winnings will come to about $120 million, after taxes. She will be receiving the check in couple of weeks. Curry told lottery officials she hadn’t had time to think about what to do with the money. The winning numbers were 8, 14, 17, 20 and 39, with a Mega ball of 7.

According to sources, Ira is an insurance company underwriter in Atlanta, but she is originally from the Bronx in New York. Her two sisters still live in the apartment that they all shared with their mother. Jalunda Baker-Price and Brenda Baker are planning to go see their sister soon. “We were raised by our single mother and are very close”, said Jalunda.

Ira, her husband, Talmer, her daughter and her grandchildren will certainly be having a very merry Christmas this year. The rest of us can keep on dreaming of having such good luck!

A married, heterosexual gym teacher at a posh Upper West Side private school in New York was fired allegedly for being “straight”. Gregory Kenney claims that his lesbian supervisor, Patricia Krieger disapproved of his traditional family lifestyle.

Gregory, 50, had worked at Trinity School for 16 years before he was “let go” in June of 2012. He has filed claim in Manhattan for an unspecified amount.

The fired gym teacher lives with his wife Suzanne and three children, a son aged 9 and twin daughters aged 7.

He alleges that Krieger forced him to coach three sports although in his contract he was only required to coach two. When he complained to his boss that the extra responsibilities interfered with his family obligations Krieger told him “We all make choices”. Meanwhile, Kenney’s complaint alleges, “a single, female teacher faced no scrutiny when she refused to coach a third season.” Krieger started working at the school in 2009. He says he was well liked by his students.

Kenney says three other married coaches with young children were also sacked. Kenney was replaced by a gay female, according to court papers. He is still looking for a new job.

What should have been the trip of a lifetime turned to tragedy for a young couple from North Carolina.

On January 6, of this year, Cherilyn McGraw won a trip to Australia on the Ellen DeGeneres Show by stuffing balls into her “down under” pants. She and her husband of two years, Marine Sergeant Brandon McGraw, decided to take the trip in December.

Gunnery sergeant McGraw was based at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. He had served both in Afghanistan and Iraq. The couple was from Huntington and married in November 2011.

They made the long trip from with a stopover this past weekend in New York. Brandon, an extreme sports enthusiast, wanted to go skydiving. He was a well trained, experienced skydiver.Cherilyn jumped first in tandem and then it was Brandon’s turn. In an interview with the newspaper, an employee of the skydiving school said McGraw’s jump was going fine until shortly before landing, when his parachute suddenly veered left and right and he slammed into the ground.

The 33-year-old gunnery sergeant was pronounced dead on the scene at around 12.30pm local time after going into cardiac arrest. His wife was not injured.

Cherilyn, a special education teacher, is heartbroken. She thanked well wishers on her Facebook page, which has since been closed, saying “I’m beyond honored and words will never be able to express my gratitude for all the love, support and prayers, you all have kept me so strong.”

Of her husband she wrote “My hero. My angel, I love you more than anything in the world, honey. You are the most amazing man.”

Our deep felt sympathy goes to Cherilyn and all of Brandon’s family and friends.

In the middle of all the recent Duck Dynasty scandal, naked photos of Korie have appeared all over the internet. But, according to TMZ, the pictures are fake. TMZ analyzed the pics and have found the original picture which is of another woman. It was photoshopped and the face of the original has been replaced with Korie’s. The original face was blurred out to protect the woman’s privacy.

There is speculation that this was done in retaliation for the comments of papa Phil on gay men. A&E have suspended Phil from the show, but the family has announced that they couldn’t think of doing Duck Dynasty without him.

According to reports Paul McCartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills was accused of physical harassment by an Paralympic official named Sylvana Mestre after she was verbally abused and physically harassed by Mills after she was told her equipment had not been ratified.

“I was trying to explain to her that this is not the equipment we approved earlier in the year and then that was it, she exploded,” said Mestre.

“She jumped on me. She started to say I was a bitch. She grabbed me from the back and she started to say that ‘you don’t know who I am, I will make your life miserable’. I don’t understand the reaction.”

Spaniard Paralympic official  Sylvana Mestre attended at Petania Patmos school in Barcelona, Spain, she then graduated from the Facultad de Medicina de Barcelona in 1975. Mrs. Maestre speaks Spanish, Catalan, English, French and Italian fluently.

She became a member of the AMA-WDA Education committee in 2009, and serves as chair at the STC Alpine Skiing for the International Paralympic Committee since March, 2002. Sylvana was a coach at the Federacion Espanola de Ciegos (F.E.D.C) from 1998-2010, She is also the co-founder at Asociacion Play and Train.

Sylvana Mestre was awarded with the Institut Barcelona Esports Honor “Dono I Esport- Mireia Tapiador” in 2011, with the Spirit Sport Award in May, 2012, and in March, 2013 the IPC Women in Sports Committee honored her at the International Women’s day Recognition.

Vanessa DuBasso has been dating Barron Hilton for around three years. They have been seen together all around the world.

Vanessa is a model and actress. She can be seen on the big screen in Student Bodies, Things are Really Insane and There’s Always Woodstock. On the small screen, she was on Pretty Little Liars, playing the part of Zoey.

New Yorker book author Ned Vizzini  jumped to his death from his parents’ building at 32. his brother Daniel told reporters his late brother was suffering from depression. We wonder whether or not Ned Vizzini  was dating anyone, or if he was married? He sure was married, his wife is Sabra Embury, mother of his beautiful son Felix.

32-year-old Ned Vizzini was born Edison Price Vizzini in New York April 4th, 1981 to Emma Price Vizzini and Frank Vizzini, Ned had two siblings Eleonora and Daniel.

Ned graduated in 1999 from Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, he got his BA in computer Science from Hunter College. His first book Teen Angst? Naaah was published in 2000, followed by Be More Chill in 2004, It’s Kind of a funny Story in 2006, The Other Normals in 2012 and his fifth and last book House of Secrets with film maker Chris Columbus was published in April, 2013. Other work Vizzini did was for Mtv’s teen series Teen wolf where he wrote two episodes.

Ned was married to his wife Sabra, the proud momma of their two-year-old son Felix.

Svetlana Bukharina, is the poor mother who watched in horror the news about  her little son Kirill, who was tossed from a 52-story building by her own father, Dmitriy Kanarikov  who then jumped to his death.

Just a couple of months ago 35-year-old Dmitriy Kanarikov said on Facebook, the only thing he wished for was to be the best father ad husband.

Today his name and his son name are in every headline, not for being  the best day on Christmas, but the total opposite.

A three-year-old innocent boy had his life ripped from him, by he man he admired, trust and loved the most and all for a bitter custody with his estranged wife.

Dmitriy AKanarikov was a Ukraine immigrant living in New York where he worked as a systems analyst at TIAA-CREF, where he first arrived in May 2000 as a legal System Specialist Intern, Dmitry graduated with honors in 2001 from Pace University with a BC in computer Science.

Dmitry and his wife Sveltana Kanarikova a few months ago, they were in the middle of a bitter custody battle over their son Kirill.

Sveltana was expecting her estranged husband handed Kirill to her today at a Manhattan police precinct, but instead he took his son still wearing his Christmas Pj’s to the rooftop of the 500-unit West 60th Street building where a friend lives, tossed Kirill and then he took the fatal jump.

Kirill Kanarikov was recovered from a sixth-floor landing of the same building while his father was found on a fourth-floor landing of a John Jay College building next door to the apartment high-rise, Mr. Kanarikov left a note explaining his actions.

Kirill was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital where he was pronounced death, his father was found dead at the scene.

Dmitriy Kanarikov’s wife is 32-year-old Svetlana E. Bukharina aka Svetlana Kanarikov, she graduated from LaGuardia High School Of Music and Performing Arts in Manhattan, NY. She currently resides in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, before that she lived in Charlotte, NC and New York City.

Svetlana Kanarikov was one or the talented violinist at the RIT Philharmonia. Svetlana and Dmitriy got married in October, 2009.

Lis Smith is in the news again. Eliot Spitzer has been seen on numerous occasions arriving at different times in the evening at her apartment and leaving in the early morning hours.

The relationship began some time ago, apparently. They have been seen numerous times at the same restaurant, holding hands. In fact, they’ve been there so many times that their waiter says that they’ve tried almost everything on the menu!

Lis Smith was the mayor-elect’s spokeswoman during the homestretch of his campaign and for his transition to Gracie Mansion. Smith, a veteran Democratic operative who led the “rapid response” team for President Obama’s 2012 campaign, worked as a spokeswoman for Spitzer in the primary election for city controller that he lost in September. Rumor has it that that’s when they started dating. Spitzer, ex governor who was disgraced by a high class prostitute scandal, has been living apart from his wife, Silda. He is twenty three years older than Lis.

Lis worked on the Obama campaign as director of rapid response and became famous for her multiple tweet disputes with people she disagrees with and aggressively challenging negative news stories about her candidates.

Lis, 31, a Dartmouth grad apparently has a thing for bad boys. She dated former Missouri state Sen. Jeff Smith from 2005 to 2009, before he was locked up in a federal pen for obstruction after a probe of the state’s 2004 election.

Smith, who is a Bronx native, must be an intelligent woman, but going for the “bad boys” might not be the smartest thing she’s ever done.

Brooke is Kim’s first child with her ex husband G. Monty Brinson. She is also, in case you didn’t know, cousin of Paris, Barron, Conrad and Nicky Hilton. Brook, who was born on February 21 1986, is also half sister to Whitney and Chad Davis and little sister Kimberly Richards.

Brooke’s fiancé is Thayer Wiederhorn, heir to the Fatburger Restaurant Franchise. He is one of six children. He has a twin brother who is dating Brooke’s cousin Farrah, daughter of Kyle Richards.

Brooke showed off her beautiful ring via instgram and received congrats from many friends and family on her twitter account and facebook page.

Evelina Elterman has done everything possible to remove images of herself from the internet. Why? Because her fiance’s ex cyber gal pal has launched a smear campaign against her ruining her good name and that of boyfriend Emmanuil Sadikov.

At least that’s what Emmanuil alleges. On Thursday he filed a 5$ million lawsuit against the enraged woman and her also alleged assistants. He claims they have been setting up nasty pictures using Evelina’s face with different bodies and sending them to their friends and family. As can be seen in a picture below, you can do almost anything with PhotoShop. The engaged couple live in Kew Gardens, New York.

The lawsuit accuses Izabella and Khananiya Avshman, of Allen, Texas and Florida and Seymon Fishkin of Dallas. None of them could be reached for comment. The fake profiles also maligned Sadikov calling him a dishonest person who is paying Evelina for sex.

Although some of the profiles have been taken down, the online slurs continue. Sadikov, who works in real estate, (Omnycor Realty Corp) claims that he is even losing customers because of it. He did not wish to comment on the case, and his lawyer, Stephen Dickerman declined comments as well.

Well, with everyone declining to comment we will just have to wait for a court date to find out what’s going to happen.

Meet Candi Spitz, she is the wife of Anthrax’ lead guitarist Dan Spitz, who was arrested on Christmas Morning after his mother-in-law  called 911 to informed Dan had choked her daughter, hours later Candi took all the charges back.

What the heck was Mrs. Spitz thinking when she took it all back?? blame it on the alleged drunken fight Candi Spitz and her guitarist hubby had on Christmas night, or who knows, I understand Candi and Dan have been thru a lot with their sons when they were diagnosed with autism, let’s hope we don’t from these two again fighting again, because things can’t really get out of hands when one can’t handle alcohol and their temper, hopefully this incident was a one night thing and  Dan Spitz is not one of those abusive men who got into a heated, drunken argument with his wife Candi who even though she showed bruises around her neck, told officials it was all good and everything was a misunderstanding.

For his part Dan said he acted on self defense. Candi didn’t want to press any changes against her hubby.

50-year-old Dan Spitz, was the leading guitarist of the heavy metal band Anthrax from 1983–1995 and from 2005 to 2007, he got married to his wife Candi Spitz in 2005. They welcomed their twin sons in 2007, both Brendan and Jaden were diagnosed autistic when they were six-months-old, Candi and Dan are big supporters of Autism Speaks.

38-year-old Candi Spitz was born Candi Lynn Zack on July 15, 1975 in New York, Candi Spitz is a spokesperson for Autism Speaks, she is also an ambassador for Project Lifesaver International Headquarters, charity coordinator for Tattoo Mania WPB, serves as director of development and advocacy for Blu Love Farm in Delray Beach, Florida and is VP at Blooming with Autism 501 c3 in Wellington, Florida.

Thе hospital in Grenoble will issue furthеr information оn hiѕ condition аt 11:00 local timе (10:00 GMT). Schumacher wаѕ wearing a helmet whеn hе fell аnd hit hiѕ head аgаinѕt a rock, hiѕ manager Sabine Kehm said.

Reports in French аnd German mеdiа ѕау thаt thе F1 legend underwent a ѕесоnd operation during thе night. Germany’s Bild tabloid reported thаt hiѕ condition hаd worsened аnd surgeons hаd drilled holes in hiѕ skull tо reduce thе pressure оn hiѕ brain.

Thе accident tооk рlасе in thе French ѕki resort оf Meribel. Thе resort’s director, Christophe Gernignon-Lecomte, ѕаid thе fоrmеr champion wаѕ attended tо bу twо ѕki patrollers whо requested helicopter evacuation tо thе nearby valley town оf Moutiers. Professor Gerard Saillant, a close аllу аnd friend оf Schumacher, аnd hiѕ fоrmеr Ferrari team boss Jean Todt аrе аt thе hospital. Prof Saillant iѕ аn expert in brain аnd spine injury. Hе oversaw Schumacher’s medical care whеn thе driver broke hiѕ leg in thе 1999 British GP.

Kings of Queens actress Leah Remini’s half sister Stephanie Remini died after battling with stage 4 lung cancer at the age of 35, The news has been reported by several media and was confirmed by Leah’s other sister Nicole.

35-year-old Stephani “Stephanie” Remini was born on March 10, 1978 in Woodridge, New Jersey the daughter of Donna Remini, 65 and George Remini, 66.

Stephanie Remini was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer this year, before that she underwent surgery for a brain tumor in 2012 before she was discovered to have lung cancer, along with cancer in her left hip bone, her adrenal glands and cancerous legions on her spine in August of this year.

James Avery became known for his as Phillip Banks, Will Smith’s dad in the t.v sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, sadly Mr. Avery has passed away at 68 following an open heart surgery. He is survived by his wife Barbara Avery and stepson Kevin Walters.

James Avery died on New Year’s Eve after a series of complications from an open heart surgery, his beloved wife Barbara Avery was practically living at the hospital, she wouldn’t leave his side, her mother-in-law Florence Avery said.

“It seemed like he was doing better. I heard him say something in the background,” mom Florence Avery, 89, told the Daily News by phone from Atlantic City.

“Barbara planned to spend the night at the hospital but said she had to run some errands first. When she came back, she called me to say he was gone,” Florence recalled, adding that her son also suffered from diabetes.

“It breaks my heart,” she said. “My child was a great person who helped anyone he could. He was really just a nice person whose great passion in life was reading.”

James Avery and his wife Barbara had been married for 25 years, they had no children of their own, but he adopted Barbara’s son Kevin Walters from a previous relationship.

69-year-old Barbara Avery was born Barbara Waters, she attended at  San Diego State University California State University, for eleven years Barbara Avery was dean of students at Loyola Marymount University, after leaving Loyola in 2002 she became vice president for students affairs at Holy Names University and in 2005 along her husband Barbara Avery has been vice president for students affair and dean of students at Occidental College.
